Rashmi J. Dalai is a writer and communications strategist with over fifteen years experience working in the U.S., Europe and Asia. She is currently an independent consultant, the Senior Asia Writer for content-marketing agency Factotum, a Business Communications Consultant and Instructor for The Keys Academy in Singapore, and a freelance journalist.
She started her career on Wall Street, where she covered the US stock market for a financial newswire, wrote investment research for Goldman Sachs, and sold structured derivative products for Lehman Brothers.
Five years later, she left to build a niche consulting practice that helps corporations, universities, and other businesses develop effective communication strategies to motivate employees, operate efficiently, and negotiate transactions. Her list of international clients have included Stanford Medical Center, Reprogenetics, Fertility Authority, IBM and numerous other top tier universities, medical practices, corporations, researchers and entrepreneurs.
She freelances for the Wall Street Journal on expat life, and her journalistic work has been featured in numerous other international media outlets. She has a Masters in Finance and Banking from Columbia University, and a Bachelors in International Affairs and Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University.
She has lived in London, Bali, Singapore, New York, and Shanghai where she published two Chinese-English bilingual children's books and a cookbook.
